The following message to all ReDCo Group personnel is a reminder of the ReDCo Group's commitment to operating activities in accordance with regulations and to establishing preventative measures against the occurrence of fraud and abuse.
The ReDCo Group affirms its responsibility to establish policies and procedures which address applicable laws and governing regulations and to structure a system dedicated to achieving compliance with all laws/regulations which apply to business activities, including state and federal regulations, local ordinances, and specific laws and regulations applicable to private and governmental programs.
Corporate compliance requires the involvement of every staff member. Not only does every staff member have a duty to be knowledgeable of regulations, every person with knowledge of inappropriate activity or alleged non-compliance has a duty to act and to report potential violations and compliance irregularities. The ReDCo Group established an internal reporting system, thereby creating a network of overseers to share the watchdog role.
William F. Dukmen, Vice President for Risk Management and Compliance, has been appointed as Corporate Compliance Officer. Any person with knowledge of inappropriate activities or alleged acts of non-compliance is responsible to contact the Corporate Compliance Officer with specific information which will be investigated. Reports may be anonymous. Reports will be confidential.
Examples of fraud and abuse include, but are not limited to:
- Altering a record.
- Billing for services not rendered.
- Falsifying a signature.
- Misrepresenting the nature of services rendered.
- Unauthorized distribution of records.
- Providing unnecessary services.
- Falsifying reporting information.
